Ego simply doesn't know how to strike a balance. Either it stays immersed in the
worldly matters or getting distressed, takes 'sanyas' - renounce the world... But
to lead a normal life while being mentally detached from the world is something
that it just does not know.

The gulf between I and you is the ego. When the ego is removed the distance disappears and the ‘I’ and ‘you’ also disappear. They merge to become one — and that is love.
Flashing of past or future in any form or thinking about it even for a moment...is

The jiva or living being is endowed with ego and his knowledge is limited, whereas Ishwar is without ego and is omniscient.
There is nothing more "deceitful" than ego in this world. If you want to see,
carefully observe the people who unnecessarily show high moral, talk ethics,
visit temples or strictly follow rituals. Their entire being reverberates ego, yet
they are unaware of it.

Not knowing the consequence of good and evil karmas, he is afflicted and hurt. Nevertheless, he, due to his egotism, piles up karmas and undergoes births and deaths again and again.
Feeling a sense of pride on accomplishing something, is a proof that you have
got more than what you deserve.
