When you observe the ego in yourself, you are beginning to go beyond it.
-Eckhart Tolle "Eckhart Tolle"
When you observe the ego in yourself, you are beginning to go beyond it.
If any achievement of your life goes to your head and you are gripped by ego...
then understand that you have reached your limit to grow. Now there can be only
one way to go and that is downwards.
-Deep Trivedi
Where egoism exists, Thou are not experienced. Where Thou art, is not egoism. You who are learned, expound in your mind, this inexpressible proposition.
Under the influence of false ego one thinks himself to be the doer of activities, while in reality all activities are carried out by nature as a natural process.
After helping someone, if you expect a gesture of gratitude from him, then there
is no point in helping. If you feel good when he expresses his gratitude, then too
helping is useless. In that case, you must understand that your help was merely
a means to satiate your ego.
-Deep Trivedi
He is not obtained by mouthing mere words, but by rooting out ego from within.
If you wish to experience the ego of having done something great in life, then
you will have to do away with all those small petty egos you tend to carry day in
and day out.
-Deep Trivedi
Like other particles of the world even "ego" cannot be destroyed. Yes, it can
surely be transformed into soulful qualities... But the moment any "Buddha"
attempts it, fearing extinction, ego not only resists but also activates its self-
defence mechanism.
-Deep Trivedi
The jiva or living being is endowed with ego and his knowledge is limited, whereas Ishwar is without ego and is omniscient.
"The laws of nature" are the supreme authority of the world. Krishna, Buddha
and Christ are also the people who accepting and surrendering to the supremacy
of nature, have dissolved their individual existence i.e. "ego".
