Bulletproof Tux
A Canadian tailoring company Garrison Bespoke has released a tuxedo, which combines fashion and protection to deliver a safe suit that absorbs knife jabs and bullets. The suit was designed after the head of the Special Projects of the company had a conversation with a client who was shot in a foreign country, but luckily survived.
The suit has been created using lightweight carbon nanotubes that absorb sharp weapons and bullet impact. It has been kept slick and less on the bulky side as clients would not want to look suspicious. It is tailored according to the clients’ demands with six thin nanotube sheets that are slipped into the lining of the back and front of the suit.
The suit is an unconventional product aimed at people from the finance or mining industry who are at risk while travelling around the world.
