God Particle

Scientists from CERN have stated that Higgs Boson or God Particle behave in the same way as predicted by them earlier. This has been proved by ATLAS and CMS Collaborations from CERN who for the first time presented the combined measurements of many of the particle’s properties.

The findings reaffirm the predictions of the Standard Model and the results will become the reference for new analyses in the coming months. This will facilitate the search for new physics phenomena. The results offer the best precision on its production and decay and how it interacts with other particles.

CERN Director General Rolf Heuer said that Higgs Boson can be used to test the Standard Model of particle physics and study the Brout- Englert-Higgs mechanism that gives mass to elementary particles. For example- Standard Model states that when a Higgs Boson particle is produced it should decay immediately in about 58 percent cases into a bottom quark and a bottom antiquark. The new measurements will allow in determining the rate of the most common decays with the best precision. This is essential as it will help in understanding the nature of discovered Boson.
