Smart Clothes
Scientists from Finland have developed a new technology for smart clothing wherein, the clothes automatically adjusts the temperature according to the environment and wearer’s needs. Hence, the cloth cools or warms accordingly.
Researchers from the VTT Technical Research Centre have said that the cloth’s technology is able to determine the needed cooling or warming power so that its wearer’s thermal sensation remains normal in varying conditions.
The technology works on Human Thermal Model Calculation, which measures a person’s individual thermal sensation from the prevailing conditions. The cloth could be used by hospitals, nursing homes and security personnel.
