A religious person is...the one who accepts the responsibility for the success and failures of his life. The one who entrusts it to rituals, worship, astrology, family or friends...is irreligious.
The Hindu world has always accepted 'religion' in its totality; as their 'God' who is free from all attachments has not denied anything, right from wine to dance and violence for the destruction of evil to the worldly life… Then on what grounds, these proprietors of Hindu religion term the 'life fancier' people (the ones indulging in pleasures of life) as sinners and themselves religious?
We are quite bizarre ourselves, so are our religious heads too. Merely to satiate our pride we visit them to listen to good things about our religion and they being clever take undue advantage of it, pander to our ego and continue to prosper. This blinds us so much that we stop seeing the negativities of our religion and positive aspects of other religions. You cannot even imagine what a great loss it is for you.

The one who co-operates with his mind, always attains huge success in life.
In today's time, the influence of wealth has increased so much that the wealthy do not need to possess any other good quality in themselves.
To be joyous in life, a few bites to eat in peace, pouring rains or cool breeze are sufficient... Whereas for reasons to be sad, you can write thousands of books on it.
If you want to understand the teachings of Buddha, Krishna, Jesus or any great philosopher, you will have to learn to differentiate and dissect their sayings in two parts, one, 'eternal truth' and second, 'the truth relevant at that time'. Without distinguishing the two, you will invariably end up misunderstanding their sayings.
In Jain scriptures, the only complete man in the history of the world "Krishna" is also placed in hell. To the extent that even Buddha, who has enlightened the whole world has been mentioned by the Jain monks as the one initiated by "Mahavira". Isn't it the height of their insecurity and inferiority?
God is dead, atleast in the sense that neither can he stop you from achieving what you are capable of, nor can he give you anything more than what you deserve.
