That one I love who is incapable of ill will, and returns love for hatred. Living beyond the reach of I and mind, pain and pleasure, full of mercy, contented, self-controlled, with all his heart and all his mind given to Me – with such a one I am in love.
A life without love is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.
In many a form of goodness, O Love, you show your face. Grant that these forms may penetrate within our hearts. Send elsewhere all malice!
You love your family, but not your neighbor. You love your parents, but not others’ parents. You love your religion, but not all religions. You love your country, but not all countries. This is not true love, it is limited love. Transformation of limited love into divine love is the goal of spirituality.
