A fasting person is in a state of worship even if asleep in bed. Every breath he takes while asleep is ‘tasbih’, and his sleep itself is worship.
Where egoism exists, Thou are not experienced. Where Thou art, is not egoism. You who are learned, expound in your mind, this inexpressible proposition.
Worship means reverence and humility. If you can wipe out evil desires and harbour good thoughts, even if nothing shows, it’s worship. Such form is its real form.
Those who educate children well are to be honoured more than parents, for parents only gave life, and teachers, the art of living well.
To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.
