Many good sayings are to be found in holy books but merely reading them will not make one religious. One must practice the virtues taught in such books in order to acquire love of God.
That one I love who is incapable of ill will, and returns love for hatred. Living beyond the reach of I and mind, pain and pleasure, full of mercy, contented, self-controlled, with all his heart and all his mind given to Me – with such a one I am in love.
A yogi who perceives his real Self as separate from his active senses and their objects never becomes attached to anything. He is aware of the dream nature of the universe and watches it without being entangled in its complex but ephemeral nature.
The blossom of love will make the air fragrant; the river of love will murmur along the valleys; and every bird, beast and child will sing the song of love.
