Letting go of fear, attachment, grief and anger is the sannyasin’s renunciation. He savours only the taste of his oneness with the ultimate reality.
But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice.
It is a good practice to set apart at least one day in a year for the remembrance of one’s near and dear relatives, friends and learned people that are no more in keeping with our traditions; giving a new orientation to and infusing new life into practices that have become lifeless and meaningless to many.
In our culture we have such respect for musical instruments; they are like part of God.
Speak out against corruption. We need to fight injustice, but without anger or violence. Fight with a calm and serene mind.
If you see good in people, you radiate a harmonious loving energy which uplifts those who are around you. If you can maintain this habit, this energy will turn into a steady flow of love.
