It is a good practice to set apart at least one day in a year for the remembrance of one’s near and dear relatives, friends and learned people that are no more in keeping with our traditions; giving a new orientation to and infusing new life into practices that have become lifeless and meaningless to many.
Christmas is not a time nor season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
Familiarity with books is not knowledge. One’s entire life is a continuous process of learning.
Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, “You owe Me.” Look what happens with a love like that; it lights the Whole Sky.
This is true knowledge: to seek the Self as the true end of wisdom always. To seek anything else is ignorance.
